The JH Hunter Forager

The JH Hunter/Forager is a chef's hunting/foraging/camp knife. We have taken everything we know about kitchen knives, the hardest working knives there are, and applied it to our outdoor/hunting knives. Our home, Jackson Hole, WY is a premier big game hunting nexus of the lower 48.

This knife makes a great all-around belt or camp knife with its time tested saddle leather sheath. This is the perfect foraging knife, quickly and effectively deployed for cutting wild morels or chanterelles or skinning elk and deer. This is a great general outdoors knife, from whipping up raft trip or campsite breakfasts to butchering livestock on the farm. MTN Man Toy Shop S7 Throwing Tomahawk

Constantly in pursuit of American-made greatness, we were inspired to try a new approach to the tomahawk. Our rustic and rugged 1095 tool-steel hand-forged tomahawks hit the mark for sure, but when we found out that we could cast tomahawks out of the same S7 steel used for the tips of jackhammers, we had to try it. Pretty tough, right?

Each Throwing Hawk is cast from American S7 tool steel. Heat treated to increase this steel's already excellent impact and shock resistance you'll typically find S7 in bull riveters and concrete breakers - this tomahawk can take all you've got.
